Design and layout
Our senior in-house designers plan the layout, storage, appliance positions, lighting and finishes, and produce drawings you can sign off before anything is ordered.
Auckland Kitchen Renovation
Apex Build & Deco pairs senior in-house interior designers with LBP licensed builders, so the kitchen you want is not limited by the walls, plumbing or wiring you have now. One team plans it, consents it and builds it under one fixed-price contract.
Why a Builder
Many Auckland kitchens can be improved with new cabinetry alone. The ones that cannot are usually the ones that matter most: a closed-off kitchen at the back of the house, a wall between the kitchen and the living area, a sink on the wrong side of the room, or a layout that has never worked for the way you cook.
Changing those means removing or altering walls, moving plumbing and drainage, rewiring for modern appliances and lighting, and in many cases a building consent. That is building work. Our LBP licensed builders, licensed plumbers and licensed electricians do it as part of the same project, and our designers plan the new kitchen around what the structure now allows.
If your plans include opening the kitchen to the living or dining area, we assess the walls at the site visit and tell you what the change involves before you commit to a design. When the work reaches beyond the kitchen into the rest of the house, see our home renovations in Auckland.
What We Handle
No juggling a cabinet maker, a builder, a plumber and an electrician. We manage design, consent and every trade under one transparent contract.
Our senior in-house designers plan the layout, storage, appliance positions, lighting and finishes, and produce drawings you can sign off before anything is ordered.
Wall removal or alteration, new openings, floor and ceiling repairs, carried out by LBP licensed builders and consented where the work requires it.
Relocated sinks and dishwashers, new circuits for ovens and induction cooktops, rangehood ducting and lighting, all by licensed plumbers and electricians.
Cabinetry, benchtops, splashbacks, flooring and painting, specified together so the finished kitchen belongs with the rest of the house.
Refresh Or Full Renovation
The layout works and the bones are sound. New cabinet fronts, a new benchtop, new tapware or a new splashback can change how the kitchen looks and feels without moving anything. We also take on single jobs such as replacing a kitchen benchtop on its own.
The layout is the problem. The kitchen is stripped back, services are moved, walls may change, and the new kitchen is designed from the floor plan up.
We will tell you which one your kitchen needs at the free site visit, before there is a contract on the table.
Kitchen And Bathroom
Kitchens and bathrooms share the same trades: plumbing, drainage, wiring, waterproofing and tiling. Doing both in one project means one design process, one consent where one is needed, one set of trades on site and finishes chosen to work together. It also means one disruption to your household instead of two.

How It Works
We visit, measure up, look at the walls and services, and talk through what you want from the kitchen and your budget.
Our designers develop the layout and drawings and help you choose cabinetry, benchtops, tapware and finishes. Where the work needs a building consent, we prepare the paperwork for Auckland Council.
You receive a detailed, itemised contract with a clear scope and timeline before any work starts.
Our licensed team strips out, completes the building and services work, then installs the new kitchen, keeping the site tidy and you updated throughout.
We walk through the finished kitchen together and hand over the paperwork for any consented work.
Why Apex Build & Deco
A kitchen involves dozens of decisions, from hinge types to power points. We explain the options in plain language and keep you updated at every stage.
Our in-house interior designers plan the layout, storage and finishes, and turn what you have in mind into a buildable set of drawings.
Clear scopes, detailed fixed quotes and no hidden costs. Variations are priced and agreed in writing before the work is done.
Led by LBP licensed builders and backed by licensed plumbers and electricians, with consented work inspected and signed off.
Good To Know
It depends on whether the layout changes, how much plumbing and wiring moves, the size of the kitchen and the cabinetry and benchtop you choose. After the free site visit and design we give you an itemised fixed-price contract, so you are comparing a real number rather than a guess.
The on-site programme depends on the scope and on whether walls or services are moving. You get a clear timeline in your contract.
Often, yes. Whether a wall is load-bearing, and what it carries, decides what is involved. We assess it at the site visit, and where the change needs a building consent, we prepare the application for Auckland Council.
Replacing cabinetry and finishes generally does not. Structural changes and some plumbing and drainage changes generally do. We tell you which parts of your project need consent and handle the paperwork.
Yes. Running both as one project shares the design process, the trades and the consent, and keeps the disruption to one period.
We renovate kitchens across the wider Auckland region, including the central suburbs, the North Shore, west Auckland, east Auckland and south Auckland. Based in Mount Eden, serving Auckland-wide.
